Full Membership

Founded in 1949, the mission of the Alabama Association of School Boards is to develop excellent school board leaders through quality training, advocacy and services. AASB members receive a wide variety of services, including training, legislative and legal information and support, timely publications, risk management services, fee-based services and financial services. School boards join the association, and membership is governed by AASB Bylaws. AASB has enjoyed 100 percent membership for nearly three decades. In addition to K-12 local boards of education, charter boards also are welcome to join the association as Associate Members.
