Calling all Alabama public school students in grades 6-12. Enter the 2018 statewide “How We Achieve Excellence in Our School” video contest. Up to four schools will share prize money totaling $3,250.
$3,250 in Prizes up for Grabs!
The Alabama Association of School Boards’ seventh annual statewide “How We Achieve Excellence in Our School” video contest is accepting entries between Feb. 1 and April 5, 2018, from public school students (grades 6-12). The contest allows a maximum of two entries from each Alabama school system.
The contest applauds excellence in teaching, the creativity of Alabama's public school students and the positive school experiences that inspire students to graduate.
Four lucky schools will win prizes for their 30- to 60-second commercials/public service announcements. The top four videos will be shown at 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 8, 2018, during AASB's Annual Convention at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham-The Wynfrey Hotel and at a future Alabama State Board of Education meeting in Montgomery.

Contest Timeline
The contest opens for entries on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018. Entries must be postmarked by Monday, April 5, 2018, and submitted to the Alabama Association of School Boards. The AASB office - at 43 South Jackson Street in Montgomery, AL 36104 - is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.
