The Alabama Council of School Board Attorneys is a component of the Alabama Association of School Boards and is exclusively for attorneys representing school boards in the state of Alabama. ACSBA provides members with the specialized information they need to keep pace with developments in education law and to protect and defend school boards.

Members meet annually to discuss relevant issues, receive legislative updates and share their knowledge of court rulings that impact local school boards. Seminar topics in the past have included personnel records, public records, tenure law, discrimination, crisis management, contracts and special education.

New members enjoy an opportunity to network and learn from seasoned school board attorneys who often present at the ACSBA summer meeting. ACSBA applies for CLE credit to benefit seminar attendees.
