We're implementing a change to how attendees receive hotel booking information for the AASB Winter Convention this year. This change ensures that all first-day registrants have an equal opportunity to secure accommodations within our group room blocks. This is the same process from 2025 Summer Conference. Everyone who registers on September 25 will receive a separate, direct email from AASB the following day (September 26) containing:

2025 Winter Convention ($299) | 8 hours | Please contact your board secretary to register.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
- Conference cancellations will incur a $75 fee. No cancellations or refunds after Nov. 26.
- Any registrations not cancelled or no shows on the day of the event will be charged full price.
- A $20 late fee will be added to registrations after Nov 26.
Artificial Intelligence Summit ($109) | Thursday, Dec. 4 | 4 hours | Please contact your board secretary to register.
In an era of rapid technological change, school systems are facing both steep challenges and exciting opportunities. Guided by veteran educator, consultant and speaker, Jeff Utecht, this transformative AI Summit will bridge the gap between artificial intelligence and meaningful, ethical practices in K–12 education. Discover how artificial intelligence can support teaching and streamline operations, while preparing students for a changing world. (Lunch will be provided.)

What You Need to Know
Location: AASB's Annual Winter Convention will take place at The Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa
Registration: You must first register for Convention before booking your room at The Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa. Details to book a room will be provided to those who register on Sept. 25 in a separate, direct e-mail from AASB the following day (Sept. 26). Please note those who register for Summer Conference after opening day will receive hotel booking information and details in their confirmation email as usual.
Cancellations: Please note, registrants will be charged a $75 fee for Convention cancellations. The deadline to cancel without being charged the full event price is November 26, 2025. Registrations not cancelled/no-shows on the day of the event will be charged full price.
Pre-Convention Workshop: The Artificial Intelligence Summit will offer helpful information about how artificial intelligence can support teaching and streamline operationsThe workshop will take place on Thursday, Dec. 4 from 10:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. Lunch is included.
Delegate Assembly: AASB's annual business meeting will take place on Thursday, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. Delegates will vote on AASB's president-elect as well as changes to our bylaws and resolutions that will govern the Association in 2026. All members are welcome to attend.
Academy Awards Luncheon: AASB will recognize its 2025 All-State School Board honorees.
