Make plans to join AASB for a special Advocacy Day in Montgomery! Hone your advocacy skills and learn to effectively communicate with your lawmakers about key education-related issues and legislation.
Event Details
Join us at the AASB office from 9 a.m. to noon, where AASB staff will lead an informative and interactive advocacy training. Enjoy lunch here at AASB with your invited lawmakers from noon to 1 p.m. The program will continue from 1 to 3 p.m. viewing House and Senate floor action via livestream or in person, depending on each chamber's COVID protocols.
What's New?
- Meetings scheduled by you: Registered attendees must contact their lawmakers in advance to invite them to lunch here at AASB or set up one-on-one meetings at the State House if allowed. Additional details about scheduling these meetings will be sent to registrants.
- Limited capacity: The maximum number of participants for this event is capped at 25 people. Registration is first come, first served.
Training Hours
Attendees will earn 2 training hours. Participation in this event fulfills the Advocacy Day requirement for the Master Honor Roll designation.
Health & Safety Requirements
AASB continues to follow the CDC and ADPH's COVID-19 recommendations for in-person events. As such, facial masks/coverings and social distancing will be required.
