M.A.S.K Up: Make Alabama Safe for Kids

03-Aug-2021

As students head back to school for the 2021-22 academic year, the Alabama Association of School Boards (AASB) supports our schools in their decision to mandate masks for students based on guidance from the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH), the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). COVID-19 cases in Alabama are continuing to rise with the more contagious Delta variant at the forefront. While we believe having students in school provides the optimal learning experience, we also believe masking is the best way to keep them there while limiting the spread of the virus.

M.A.S.K Up, Alabama!

We are taking to social media to keep Alabamians informed and #MakeALSafeforKids! As you make important reopening decisions for the 2021-2022 school year, we encourage you to use our social media graphics as part of your school system's efforts to keep the community informed about the importance of doing all we can to keep students safe and healthy.
