President Jim Methvin Named to National Committee

MONTGOMERY, AL – (August 8, 2006) – Alabama Association of School Boards President Jim Methvin of Homewood was elected in July 2006 to represent school boards throughout the southeastern United States on the National School Boards Association Policies and Resolutions Committee.

The committee recommends resolutions and amendments to the national association’s delegate assembly which establishes the national education policies advanced by NSBA throughout the year. 

Methvin currently serves as vice chairman of the Alabama School of Fine Arts Board of Education in Birmingham.
