School board members can earn six credit hours for a core course taught March 18-19, 2011. Register now and don't miss the spring conference featuring Leadership for Developing a Highly Effective Staff, and the March 18 Early Bird Workshop that precedes it. Receive two additional academy hours for the two-part Early Bird Workshop. Part one of the workshop is the free, state-mandated Ethics Training required of school board members by April 30. Part two is on Governing for Achievement: A Progress Report. Register online at www.AlabamaSchoolBoards.org.

 

Advocacy Tip
Invite your legislators to be “Principal for a Day,” and don’t go easy on them. It’s a fun way to introduce them to K-12 public education!
